We are seeking a highly organised and health-conscious Sole Chef to join a 37m private motor yacht. This is a busy, high-energy program for a permanent candidate who thrives in a "guest-on" environment and enjoys a focused culinary style.
Due to cabin arrangements, this position is open to female candidates only.
The Role
The vessel is currently in Fort Lauderdale, prepping for an Atlantic crossing. From June onwards, the yacht will be cruising extensively throughout Europe for a very busy private season. You will be cooking for a consistent group of 5–6 guests and 7 professional crew.
The owner has a clear, refined palate and prefers a "one-option" menu style rather than an extensive buffet. The focus is on sugar-free, healthy, and clean cuisine.
Candidate Requirements
-
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Sole Chef on similar-sized vessels.
-
Provisioning: Proven track record of sourcing high-quality ingredients in both the Bahamas and Europe.
-
Culinary Style: Expert in healthy, sugar-free cooking. You should be comfortable with an owner-led menu where simplicity and quality are prioritised over variety.
-
Personality: The current crew dynamic is fantastic, with a great relationship between the Captain, Owner, and Management. We need a team player who is grounded, adaptable, and ready to hit the ground running.
-
Qualifications: STCW, ENG1, and Food Hygiene Level 2 are essential.
The Package
-
Salary: $7,000 USD per month
-
Leave: 38 days per annum.
-
Start Date: ASAP in Fort Lauderdale.
-
Itinerary: Fort Lauderdale, crossing and then Extensive European Cruising.
Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef who loves to travel and prefers a structured, healthy cooking environment. With a great rew dynamic and a supportive Captain, this is a stable and rewarding permanent role for the right candidate.
